alright, this ought to be interesting. as i've heard from many an armorer in the service that CLP can't be used to clean chrome line weapon parts because it reacts badly to chrome, i was wondering why this is. also, a friend of mine picked up a case of old weapon cleaning solvent. not sure what time its from but it looks milky. we were wondering if this was normal and if it could still be used.

This sounds like it is LSA lubricant if I remember correctly. It looked milky white and came in plastic bottles. If I am right it should be fine to use on your firearms. I know it is a lubricant but I don't know if it has any solvent properties.

do you know of anyhing that is a solvent and a lubricant that can be used on chrome that i can get for cheap? even if not for cheap?
