I don't seem to find many movies with a good pro survival message but there are a couple of newer movies that can certainly generate a conversation about preparedness. One is War of the Worlds with tom cruise. Another is I am legend with will smith. Any of the zombie movies can also get you thinking what would I do in that situation? So are there any newer movies that you guy have seen that have sparked a preparedness discussion and if so was there any change in your mindset?

Children of Men! Movie deal with a very possible future and plot could be easily substituted with a more plausible scenario. All around great flick, check it out.

The only good part of that movie was the shoot out with the British forces against the rebels. It did present a very intense bugging out scenario that brought up the ideas of what to take with you, how to get out and how to conceal your personal protection choices.

Check out THE EDGE with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin(sorry!) Good survival stuff around a plane crash in Alaska. Also CRY IN THE WILDERNESS.
