The Military Trained Gang SHTF Threat

Tonight as I write this, the history channel is airing a show on the Gang problems in the US Military.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you think in a SHTF type disaster the people roving around the rural lor urban areas will be the type to be easily scared off by a small amount of or show of force you are very much mistaken.

The threat from these military trained gang members represent is substantial. They join for the sole purpose of becoming well educated in the use and employment of weapons. They are seeking advanced tactical skills from Marine, Army, Air Force, and Navy training.

Access to the theft of advanced military equipment is yet another element in this extremely serious threat.

Now what must survival plans include to properly prepare for successful encounters with such well trained and equipped gangs?

If one's planning does not deal with this threat, then the planning is NOT Done.

Let me point out the obvious; if your plans fail to include:

1) planning for this threat

2) arms to over come this threat

3) tactics and training to over come this threat

You are NOT PREPARED !

It is passed time to stop pretending that the only type human threats to be expected are ignorant low level criminals.

This is still where the fundamentals of sniper work come into play. First and foremost shoot the leader then the people who pose the greatest threat. Even if youdon't have a scoped rifle a good use of iron sights will work at closer ranges. Snipers have stopped up hundreds of troops on battle fields and are hard to detect. I believe that gangs would go else where when confronted by a decent sniper because there is nothing to gain. In fact for your survival minded person it would be very prudent to work on sniper skills weather hunting game or preparing observation points it all makes for a tuff nut to crack.

There should by an anti Gang unit that gathers all gang members and puts them on the front lines, then when the enimy runs out of ammo then send in are real troops to mop up the bad guys... thats called killing two birds with one stone I guess....infadells:D :D
