I know that I keep beating this horse to death but every time I go to the range for training or competition I see people doing things that make me wonder if they ever practice any techniques. One thing that is important but I don't see much is a smooth and rapid transition from a long gun to a sidearm. Usually this is because the long arm has jammed in a shoot out. Many guys train to advocate dropping to one knee when this happens. I don't care to much what you do drop to one knee or seek cover or go prone but I do think that at least a couple of these should be practiced regularly so that they are second nature. I also see people looking at there weapons to reload. You need to load your weapon without looking. This should also be practiced often as many gun fights happen at night and you many not be able to see what you are doing anyway to say nothing of taking your eyes off of your target. These are just some of my pet peeves so thanks for letting me vent.
