yes i myself train in an okinawan art known as shorinryu. we use all the traditional weapons but also use a few non-traditional weapons. such as the cane, and escrimas also known as arinis sticks. i dunno if that's how you spell arinis though. but yea they're definetely one of my favorite weapons. i know a few techniques with them but definetely will be asking my sensei to teach me more. i also want to learn knife fighting.

after watching some of those videos. especially of the matches. i definetely have respect for them. they get as close to a real situation as possible. though it'd be interesting to see an armed against unarmed as that is likely to happen. but they don't go soft. no point style bullshit. we spar also and there is none of this hit and then stop and reset crap like you see in alot of martial arts tournaments. you go until someone submits or lands a blow that would've killed. like how they stoped once the guy started choking him out. or cracked him across the skull. and i have to agree doing this with other people definetely brings you together because you've put eachothers lives in eachothers hands. we don't allow strikes to the face but that's because we don't wear helmets and probably insurance reasons. but yea good intensity in those videos.
