Hey guys, I was just thinking about ways to disguise your BOB or get home bags, get home bags mainly. I'm looking at making myself one and don't know if I want to go with a Tactical Tailor type bag or just a plain old JanSport type book bag, just trying not to stick out and it got me thinking about what I do to my real bookbag (college kid) and maybe I could pass this along to you guys. The reason I named this Patches is well, that's sorta the thing to do to your book bag or draw or write on it when you're bored, I know, I know, it might sound weird. Like mine, I put some band's I like on my bag, different things, just bored and doodle on my bag. My theory is, if SHTF and you did this, even to a Tactical Tailor type bag, it might actually make people just think, oh that's just a book bag and not much more. Just a thought I had, haha, could sound really stupid I guess. :p

Not stupid at all. Keeping a low profile in a bad situation is just good commonsense. Come off like an everyday college kid, and most people wouldn't even give you a second glance! :cool:

Camo in the woods is REAL TREE or MOSSY OAK.

Camo in a real survival situation might be a good pair of jeans, a denim jacket, some sturdy shoes and a baseball cap. Add that "bookbag" of yours with sport team emblems and you are good to go.

Camo is WHATEVER blends into your current surroundings.

Camo is dictated by where you are at. If you are in a college town, then yep, that will do the trick. Even out in the country, but not the woods, can be different as well.

During the summer around here find some nice expensive looking fishing duds and you will fit right in with all the out of state anglers.. :) You could even look lost to add to the effect.
