I bought a 10 lbs portable propane water heather from "SportsmansGuide.com"...... it comes with everything that you need to connect it to a propane tank and water hose , you can adjust the flame and the water preassure and it can heats up from 95 to 185 degrees.
It needs 2 D batt and it will turn on by itself when ever you open the water valve.....it even come with a shower hose and head.
I give it a 5 stars.......oh yeah the price is of $99.00.

cool, but how well does it work? I looked at their website, its the one with the attached shower head, right? It seems that it would be good for an occasional shower, but I have a few reservations. First, since it is tankless, what would you do if your water pressure dropped to zero? Or how would you use it when camping? Second, I wouldn't use it for drinking water. I would feel a lot safer keeping the water boiling, or at least 160 degrees for 15 to 30 minutes. This water heater only heats when the water is flowing, so the water is hot for only a few seconds, not enough to kill what ills you.
Not to bring your purchase down, but how is this really a survival tool?

Shooter, last winter my water lines froze for two weeks but I still had water from the creek (by gravity) which has a 20 lbs preassure....this water line is on 24/7 and I wished then that I had this propane water heather.... by the way I also have a 550 and 3,000 gallons water tanks.
If you leave the water preassure in the tank at "low" and the propane control in "high" you will then have all the 180 degrees water that you want..... the same way if the water is in "high" and the propane control in "low" you will then have cooler water.
With Sportsmans Guide you will have no problem in returning the item if you don't like it.

Ok, so you can take a nice hot shower. That's really good. But you do have a propane burner to cook and disinfect drinking water in still, right? I have the burner from a turkey fryer. I mainly use it in the summertime to boil ear corn, but could use it to quickly heat enough water for a nice hot bath. I guess that's enough for me. In any situation where the power and or water pressure is out, I guess a bath or two a week would suffice. Now I just need to figure out some more water storage.

My water creek water goes by gravity first to the big 3,000 tank where any sediment in the water would settled to the bottom and from there it goes to the 500 galons tank and from there to the garage where I have a large filter which then goes to the house, have another filter under the sink.
Even without power the water will reach the house, but not with a lot of power, I do have 3 generators of different sizes that I use according to how much power I need......5,000.....2,300 and 1,200.....have two more which I have never oppened.

Today the power went out so that I did use my new portable propane water heater...... connected the water hose with the water by gravity from the creek and took my shower in the back of the house.......love it :p
I am now going to make a hole next to the shower from the outside and push the water hose for the shower head through it and then hang the new shower head next to the regular shower head........ remember that all that you have to do is to open the shower head for the water to come out and the propane will ignite by itself in order for the water coming out to get hot :D
