On stands now, is the second part of Home Building an FAL, step by step, from parts.

Its in Shotgun News, adn I'm trying to find a way to find/save a weblink, otherwise I'll have to scan the whole thing.

Having had to perform some minor PM on my FN, this helped me a bit, give a look over.

I thought the Shotgun News articles were OK, but I had to differ with some of what the author wrote. Particularly peculiar was the comment that one needed a “surface grinder” to bring down the diameter of the locking shoulder to the correct size.

Funny, but T. Mark “Gunplumber” Graham (perhaps one of America’s premier FAL builders) has shown that all you really need is a sharp file and a steady hand. Works fine for him, and he's built hundreds of the damn things.

If I were building a FAL from the ground-up, I’d still suggest buying Gunplumber’s FAL building video. Some of the legal discussion is a little dated (such as the info about flash hiders during the AWB) but I thought that the general build information he presented was excellent.
