As many of you may now know there has been 2 shooting on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. As of right now there are 32 dead (including the gunman) and about 21-22 injured by gun fire. The other injuries were from students jumping from upper floors. This information is the most current via FOX NEWS and their website. Also, the White House has already held a press conference with the Asst. Press Sec. and the media only asked question about increasing gun laws and more federal gun control to prevent things like this. This is the worst single shooting in US history, and has already been called the "College Columbine" by Fox News. This will feed the fire for the Liberals to push for more gun control. Things like this give Pelosi and the like the national media attention they need. As of right now the gunman was wearing a vest with magazines all over it and had a pistol only. The media is already inferring the gunman had to be carrying an assault rifle to do this much damage. Also, he supposedly shot numerous people execution style. I do not know about you, but I will never be shot on my knees from behind. I would fight till the death if I knew my life was in danger. One more point, if you were allowed to protect yourself by carrying a gun on campus, then I doubt this death toll would have been above 3-5 people.

We will be treated to many more of these shootings until they get the laws that they want. Gun Free Zones guarentee it. The muslums are taking notes you can bet.

Its good to see that the ABC poll is showing a pro-gun result.

BOHICA guys. Get your firearm needs met now. You can bet your ass that the price of high cap mags will go up simply because of this.

There's a funshow this weekend. I'll be getting there the first day, early and I bet the mags will go fast.... as long as they haven't priced them too high.

Should I see a 33rnd'r, I'll get one (or two) and I don't even have a Block.

There is a show this weekend here as well, gonna try to stock up a bit, and I agree, the cost of mags will go up, althought I doubt there is a shortage.

Simple greed will fuel this.

In another forum I'm on (non-firearms/survival related) there are a number of European posters there that cannot fathom the American need to own firearms. Just a totally different mindset out there...

The cost of everything has been going up steadily. At first it was supply and demand as the war caused fluctations in supply spiking prices. Then it was the Dem's wins and now their re-energized push for a renewed gun ban. People are panic buying and driving the prices even further. The Virginia Tech tragedy will be jumped on by the liberals to push even harder for the ban and further accelerate the pricing spiral. I guess the good news is there are so many guns and gun owners out there that they can sustain the demand and pricing. That will make it impossible to confiscate guns at the very least and make the likelyhood of a new ban at least difficult to enact.
