Thanks for the thumbs up and thanks for making the trip down, it was great to meet you and your wife. By the looks of your wife's target, I suspect you will be well behaved in the future, :p
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the shoot as well.
Those who missed, there are more around the country, though I doubt as fun as ours;)

You will have a great time, these events draw humble, quality people, with a love of Liberty and shooting. The instructors will make you feel like family, give very good instruction and make the weekend very productive.
Spend some time getting into the sitting and prone postions, limber up those body parts not normally used.
Have fun!

Glad you asked!
An Appleseed shoot is a weekend marksmanship clinic that instills the skills required to be able to put lead on a target out to 500 yards, with a rack grade rifle, surplus ammo, and iron sights, just like the Founding Fathers would have liked it done (though any rifle, in any configuration is welcome). It is a program to reconnect Americans with their Rifleman heritage, passed on by the Founders of this nation.
It is practically, a great way to improve/gain valuable skills in the use of a rifle, with the focus on long range shooting skills. They are offered throughout the country, and are adding new locations all the time.

Check out their web site for dates and locations, as well as details as to what is involved. They are inexpensive clinics, $70 for two full days of training, and kids under 21 as well as Military shoot free. You will me some great folks and get some quality instruction.
By the way, I wouldn't call you ignorant, but now that you have heard of it, you will be bitten by the Appleseed bug, it will hurt a little, then feel real GOOD;)
