Each of us know the extent of the preps we have, no point in lying to ourselves, so how far along have your come in this endeavor, would you say 20%, 50%, 70%, or ready to rumble.

And the coup de grace.... just what in the hail are your preparing for??

95%.
I've always been "prepared" it's almost a habit.
Having travelled a lot in many countries, and seen a couple of "bannanna republic" revolutions, I'd be crazy not to be prepared.
I've been involved in several situations where being self sufficient was a plus, and my preparedness is based on those experiences.
1. Getting "stuck" in a cave due to flooding of the entrance.
2. Having severe weather down all power for several days in rural Wales.
3. Being "Asked to leave" the ex-country of Czhecoslovakia by the USSR.
4. Gas main explosion in a small one street town. The gas main ran down the length of the street.
5. "Losing" a 17500 ton, 503 foot long, 110 foot tall ship, painted red & white! Thats not easy to explain, I know.
6. Hurricane "Gloria" on Long Island.

Am I prepared for the Eskimo Liberation Front to nuke Manhattan with a dirty bomb & the Chixalub asteroid to drop in my front yard, follower by the migrating hoards of mutant ninja bikers from hell...no. But I don't really expect that either.

I do know that if anything occured to disrupt life for a period of up to a couple of months I'd be ready to travel to a safer destination, out of harms way from most plausible events with confidence, clean socks, a change of shorts & a full belly.
I'd also have the ability & means to protect me & mine from any aftermath by gremlins taking advantage of the situation during a period of chaos.

I think a lot of "survivalists" short change themselves by trying to predict what exactly they will be surviving. I just try to be self sufficient, and flexible, instead of relying on outside support.

I have a better question for those that are completely prepared.. HOW DID YOU DO IT?!?!?!

I think I am about 50% prepared for bugging in or out. I have food, water, ammo, guns, clothing, etc. But I think I will never been READY!!!

I am preparing for civil unrest in my AO, weather related emergencies (ice storms and tornados), and economic fallout!!!

liar, because there is always something that needs rotating, or is perishable like dry cell batteries, meds, herbal items, canned goods, spices. So it's an endeavor, it never ends.

Still 95%! not lying, just well prepared within my frame of reference.
Wanting to....hell no! Being able to....hell yes.
I bought replacment food just before the expiration date & then ate the ones getting ready to expire.

65% I'd say. Mostly prepared for civil unrest, economic collapse and hurricanes.

I used to say 75%, but the longer in this game the more you realize that you can never be fully prepared for anything and everything. Unless you bug out now to your Montana ranch and are already living the lifestyle, there's just a ton of stuff that never gets done or never becomes an issue. I don't have coffee for the next 60 years, have never skinned then cooked an animal, don't have a permanent backup power generation source, and don't know jack about medical stuff. But still farther along and have a much better chance than the 99% of the population that will be blissfully ignorant until the plasma TV and the Hummer2 are gone. So to answer with honesty, what percentage complete? I do not know and won't know until I have to use it.

What am I preparing for? The Lord stopping back in for a visit in 2008, and 3.5 years of bad juju until he moves back in permanently. Hopefully I get the provisional and can sit out the 3 1/2 year consolation race!
