Philosophies You Can Live By

Do any of you have any sayings of philosophies that just seem to keep proving them selfs true or that you say on a regular basis? I always liked it is better to have and not need than to need and not have. Also the rule of 3 goes something like you can survive 3 hours without shelter,3 days without water,and 30 days without food . And finally when ever you screw up just say well it is better to look good than to be good.

I think CRS is trying to kick in and I'm fightin'it tooth and nail!
I too have been using the rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it philosophy.I resist the packrat mentality so I try to envision what the object is used for,what parts can be used to fix something else or can I adapt it to something else or is it just junk?
My neighbors have remarked a time or two that they just need to come to TEDMART before going anywhere else.:D
