Speak out about the AWB!

This poem was written during the second world was. It's about speaking up when a Gov't is off course. Let's speak up about the HR 1022 AWB!

The version inscribed at the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston, Massachusetts reads:

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.


Speak up while you can. Write your Congressman.

Here is a link to Gun Owners of America. You can punch in your ZIP, get the contact information. I hightly suggest that you follow up your e-mails with letters. The easiest way is to get some 4x6 index cards, just jot down your short note and address, and a 24c stamp will get it there.

Keep in mind that intel says that e-mails count as one response, letters count as 1000 or more. They care little what is said, just the volume. Something like this is just as effective as a long letter, remember, they know what is going on, our job is to make them uncomfortable about taking away our rights:

"Dear Representative SoandSo:

I urge you to oppose any attempt to implement H.R. 1022 or any other restriction on our Rights. Oppose any attempt to restrict the purchase, possession or owning of any semi-auto firearms, either as a stand alone Bill or Amendment to other legislation.

Thank you for your efforts to retain our Rights."
