Looks like the survival files aren't that interesting to folks when the Falfiles aren't being spammed by some a#!holes.

And, I think, “survival” issues tend to run cyclical. This place might suddenly start booming the day that (heaven forbid) there’s some kind of “dirty bomb” terrorist attack. Of course, a truly “wise man” would be worrying about this possibility BEFORE it happens, not after the fact. But that’s human nature, I suppose.

Even considering that, I admit that I’m a little disappointed that this place isn’t doing better. The survival forums over on “WarRifles” are usually pretty busy, and moderator FerFAL seems like a good guy. That website just crawls, though. It’s as if their server is constantly overloaded. And some folks say they’ve had some real issues with the webmaster over there, though I have no experience with him one way or the other.

Heck, it always seems like even the “Survival and Preparedness” forum over on FAL Files is even busier than this place. I’m surprised that those folks don’t check in here instead.

Survivalism is indeed cyclic, and I have seen a few cycles. I would say that there are 5 or so regular posters here (not including Doc.. :) ) That makes it tough to get people interested. We did have a few good threads going the last few days.

I will say that I am guilty as I have not started any good ones to keep the board going. I am not a huge poster as it is, but I would like to see this board be much better than it is. The potential is pretty good. On the flip side, there are *tons* of survival related sites out there, good and bad, and you are starting a new one and competing at the same time.

Just my rant...
