Most of my "survival cooking" experience is from camping and my time deployed in Iraq. Being in a scout Troop out in the middle of nowhere the options were MREs and T-Rations. The wife kept me going with the care packages and my multi-fuel stove that burned JP-8 did the rest.
"Anything Goes"
1 packet of seasoned rice mixture
1 can of chicken
1/2 small block of Velveeta
Ignore the package if it says it needs oil or something, just boil it up and add the other ingredients after the rice is soft.
"Chocolate Cherries"
1 packet of instant chocolate pudding
1 package of dried cherries
Use water instead of milk for the pudding then add the cherries, let it sit for 1/2 hour to get the cherry flavor in the chocolate. If you MUST have it cold raid your first aid kit for a cold pack and put it in a sock wrapped around the cut-off water bottle you mixed this up in!:)

"Hearty Mashed Potatoes"
Mashed potatoe Flakes
Chipped beef
Velveeta
Boil up some water, throw in the chipped beef to soften it and add salty flavor to the water, put in enough flakes to get the right consistency, make it a little runny at first because the flakes will thicken in a little time, add 1/2 small stick of Velveeta.
Quick and real good on a crappy day!:)

16 Saltines
2 seasoning packets from Beef Ramen Noodles
Fry up the Spam, add some water, add the seasoning, crumple the saltines and add them, melt in the Velveeta
Don't worry you'll use the Ramen Noodles later!

"Pepperoni Mexican Lasagna"
2 or 3 of the combination cheese/pepperoni stick snacks
8 saltines (one pack from an MRE)
some salsa(3 of the picante packs out of the Bean Burrito MRE)
Put two saltines in the bottom of your canteen cup, put some salsa on top followed by some cheese and sliced pepperoni. Wash, lather, rise, repeat until the ingredients are used up. Cover the cup with anything non-flammable to keep the heat in(I used a TOW missile shipping cap),heat until cheese melts and is warm all the way through. The extra moisture in the salsa will soften the crackers into a mushy noodle consistency.

The jello, cashew, cranberry mix was great! I only used a little water and coated the cashews and cranberries with the jello powder. It was like a candy coated treat!
