I'm assuming some of us here trap. If you don't I recommend getting a few and learning to use them. Running a few traps is a low energy method of catching critters. You can find them in fairly good condition at yard sales, auctions, and even at fur dealers. If you can put a lot of time into it, trapping can earn you some extra dollars over the winter. The best runs being somewhat close together and being close to the road for drive by checks. If you spend all day walking to run your traps the $/hr figure goes way down way fast.

Here are some I got a few years ago. $20 took it all, not show are two #2 dbl coil spring legholds and 3 #110 connibears, they are currently set. The snares are left over from last year, $0.75 a piece to make from moslty used parts.

this is a great idea i traped for alot of years alot of years ago
the best part of this is in a world turned to sh..t
over hunting is going to be a problem
with traps you will be trapping things most people dont ever see
things like coon muskrat mink and so on
a 110 220 body trap will get you food if you have a little knowledge
on where to set your traps

i have a couple dozen traps still in the shed

At a minimum it would not hurt to know how to assess the forest to know where and how to set up a simple snare...:D
