Gas prices are going to go back up to where they were last year by Apr/May combined with the weakening const/home sales market(regionaly) and accompanying layoffs and the rising price of goods are going to take the wind out of the sails of the economy. How hard and where is yet to be seen.
Radical islamics(aka terrorists) will be sucsessful with another attack in a major U.S. city, and we may actually see suicide bombers show up on our shore at a mall near you.
Illegal immigration, well I will just say the 43% of americans say it is a threat, the other 57% say "No hablo inglés".
Dummycraps and Repblicrats will run the economy into the ground by eleminating the taxcuts of yor and with increases to "prop up" socialist security and take more that the "lost" durring the cut years. W will comply to prevent the libs that are running the show in the beltway from cutting the funding on all his pet projects.
It won't be long after Jan before the saber rattling about gun control starts again.
Other than that it looks to be a good year.

Will be nuclear with participation of N.Korean/Iranian involvement.
Media will blame George Bush and Republicans allowing the Islamofascists time to solidify their empire and defence-(read MAD-Mutually Assured Destruction ala Cold War)-before the US recovers from the initial nuke strikes and Media propaganda that follows.

democrats will be somewhat quiet on gun control or anything dramatic.
they need the next two years to appear benign.
higher gas, raw materials.
ammo: higher prices and less available. same with parts kits.
higher gun sales volume.
less venture capital with corporations tucking in and diversifying. layoffs.
flat real estate sales, lower auto sales.
at least that's what my tea leaves said.

There will be no change in troop strength in Iraq.
The price of all consumer goods in the US will rise steadily
Inflation will rear its ugly head after so many years at bay
And the end of the world will be postponed
for a while still
