this something i dont see anyone talking about ..estwing makes a campers axe thats just like a hudson bay company axe sept its made a whole lot better ..the size is just right to pack with and its handy enough to be used as weapon..i just dont like the colors thou..blue and yellow stand out to well ..some black/gray grip tape like you use on a hockey stick will work well for the handle ..some cold bluing for the head would be nice .. any feed back

I keep one in my each of my trucks at all times. All steel so there is not a wooden handle to brake. They work very well and I would hate to be without one. Color does not bother me. If some one, that you do not want to see you, can see the blue and yellow grip they have already seen you. I think that in pre SHTF camo can draw more unwanted attention than the bright colors. If you look at a lot of grasses and under brush you will find blue and yellow colors.

I have had nothing but good luck with ESTWING.

You can do a lot worse than buying one or two of their axes or other items.

First rate.

Do not skimp on quality..ever..if you do it comes back to haunt you at the absolutely worst time.

A WORD to the WISE is sufficient .:D

I keep one in the truck, keep being the oprative word. Every one that uses it wants to keep it. I also like there hatchet, same desine but no extencion on the handle.

I was woried that it would not cut as well as a full size ax, I was nicely suprised. Possably the best choppers I ever owned.

Gransfors Bruks makes an awesome axe. I've got 2 of 'em. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
