DON'T FLASH HEADLIGHTS AT ANY CAR WITH NO LIGHTS ON!! Police officers working with the DARE program have issued this Warning: If you are driving after dark and see and on-coming car with no headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM! This is a common Bloods member "initiation game" that goes like this: The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights, and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target.". He is now required to turn around and chase that car, then shoot and kill every individual in the vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements. Police Depts. across the nation are being warned. Their intent is to have all the new bloods nationwide drive around on Friday and Saturday nights with their headlights off. In order to be accepted into the gang, they have to shoot and kill all individuals in the first auto that does a courtesy flash to warn them that their lights are off. Yes This is what happens when I don't check it out first.

I have been thinking that what I have found on the W.W.W. on Gangs accross this nation as well as what my Law Enforcement contacts are telling me about the sometimes bizarre initiation rites, such plays on normal responces are fair game to them.

The likes of MS-13 are adding a whole new dimension to Gang activitires in the US. We as a Nation are now dealing with completely foreign cultures not just the "Homies".

MS-13 and domestic gangs long ago fanned-out into the backwaters of small town America. They are literially everywhere.

I suggest that those serious about survival do their homework now in order to be ahead of the game come a disaster or SHTF time. Once you do you will findout that gangs aren't just what they used to be they are a whole lot more.

"Know Your Enemy" must be one's "Watch Word".

Gangs are bad here in Savannah but no one really talked about it because we are a tourist town so murders don't get press, especially those in downtown. There are companies here that do walking tours of the city. They have maybe 10 to 15 people in the group plus 1 or 2 guides to the group. 2 weeks ago, 2 groups got held up and robbed. Sunday, the son of one of my mother's coworkers had a gun stuck in his face at 2 pm as he walked 4 yards from his car to his front door in the historic district. Gangs are on the rise again here and how many officers have been assigned to the gang taskforce? 2... I'm not saying come to Savannah, it is a beautiful town just watch your back.

If Savannah was to have hurricane or a Katrina type event, it would be bad news as gangs are concerned and the bad thing is people just don't know about it unless they have connections to law enforcment or the court system. If a Katrina event were to happen and law enforcement no longer could maintain, I see downtown to west Savannah becoming a battlefield for the gangs.
