It has been reported and CONFIRMED that AIM Surplus NO LONGER HAS SOUTH AFRICAN 7.62X51 (AKA 308) AVAILABLE FOR SALE.

Some dealers continue to have supplies but that will not last long.

If you need additional supplies of SA 308 order ASAP.

411man, a lot of us knew it was coming and hopefully your past threads educated those that didn't. Still, some "over there" are acting surprised. I personally took it out of the equation all together by beefing up my reloading components. Even though I didn't like the way the message was spread in the past, it was spot on. Good work.:)

those of us that watched the Hirt come and go, and the Port come and go, et al,
knew this would eventually happen. just a matter of time.
I feel for those that didn't stock up when the getting was good.

My reason for posting this thread was simply to let people know the latest status of South African 308.

I will say that acording to AIM and every other source I talk to, NO more Imported Military Surplus 7.62 NATO (aka 308) is available to import nor is there any hope of another source in the foreseeable future.

Reloading is a solution especialy for the plinkers. But the Dark Clouds are on the horizon for reloaders. What happens when it is no longer allowed to shoot lead bullets of any kind on ranges or in the forests?

No one has addressed the issue of non-lead bullets being required and the impact on the cost that will have on reloading.

This is another lumming consequence of any change in who holds the majority in the House and/or Senate as well as the presidency.

I agree. I'm glad I got some Port when it was available.
