Greetings,
I just had to share my extreme satisfaction with The Kelly Kettle Company with you folks, since this is the kinda gear that would interest you.

I ordered my large (3 pint) stainless steel Kelly Kettle shortly before Christmas. It arrived from Ireland much faster than expected and we began enjoying our hot cocoa and tea several times a week, burning dry sticks, pine cones and pine needles from the woods. After one boil I left some water in the kettle, and in the morning noticed a small puddle on the stove. I checked
this again with a full kettle and confirmed that after an hour the lower seam had leaked ever so slightly, creating a small puddle in the fire base. Not so much that it made the Kettle unuseable, in fact I'd never have noticed it if it hadn't set overnight. It was just a minor concern.
I e-mailed Patrick Kelly and explained the situation, and he apologized for any inconvenience, and guaranteed that the latest production replacement kettle he was sending me would be leak free. It took exactly the 21 days he'd estimated to arrive at my door. It's a thing of beauty, and leak free as promised. Polite, prompt, no returning the defective item, no charge. Now that's customer service, and a company that takes pride in their product.
I'm certain we will enjoy years of satisfaction with our Kelly Kettle, and as an
added benefit we've found that it not only looks great in the kitchen, but is a wonderful air freshener after a nice pine fired boil.
