I'd like to know what board members use as a defogger for specs. I'm sick of not being able to see once I get too hot or it rains or I have on my balaclava! I have plastic lenses if it makes a difference...

as ever,

A gent that I know uses the same defogger that they have for paintball goggles. I understand that it works pretty good, but doesn't totally stop it. He was having a problem in full camo while out bowhunting..

Try rubbing both inside & outside surfaces with the tobacco end of a cigarette butt (or similar tobacco source). The moisten & rub in with a (clean) fingertip.

Wipe it on.
Buff it clear.
If glasses are not used immediately, you may notice a "haze" on the glasses when you inspect them a day or more later.
Just buff it with a dry cloth. No need to re-apply, unless the lens gets wet from rain or sweat.

DO NOT confuse this anti-fog stuff with the Rain-X product that is designed to go on the OUTER SURFACE of automobile windshields (beads water and eliminates need to use wipers at speeds over 40 mph).
The anti-fog product and the water-beading product are completely different, and cannot be substituted one for the other.

I have a bottle that I bought 10 years ago. Works great every time. Almost empty now. Probably should re-supply.
