Trijicon advertises its AccuPoint (http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=104&back_row=0&categoryID=5) series of riflescopes to the hunting community, but is it durable enough to mount on a battle rifle and survive the rigors of such an environment?

I’m particularly looking at the 1.25-4x24 (Model# TR21R) for an FAL. The AccuPoint is no ACOG, but will it stand-up to the abuse? AccuPoints are gaining popularity in 3-gun matches, but I’m not sure this is (or should be) considered “proving grounds”.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The accupoint series are some nice scopes, but I too have wondered how well they would stand up to the rigors of some serious use.

They were not, to my knowledge, designed for rigorous military field use like the ACOGs were, so I would personally go with an ACOG over the accupoint if I expected the optic to take any sort of real abuse.
