I've long thought that professional sports are rigged just like pro wrestling, and after 9/11 I told a friend, "Now, watch the Patriots win the Super Bowl". You know, a shot in the arm for freedom after a stunning loss and all that. Sure enough they miraculously had a super season! This year it's the Saints and I wonder if they're having a miraculous winning season to sooth some feelings over the Katrina fiasco and/or stimulate N.O.'s economy. Did I mention that I don't believe in coincidence?

That is some good food for thought... But that does make some type of sense. I will have to keep my eye on this and other similar happenings.
Thanks for the idea.
PS - Why do the guys from NC seem to be on the same page-ish...

That's funny to read. Me and some of my friends were talking the other day, bored between classes, about football and how a lot of things are such BS in games now a days. One of my friends even compared it to pro wrestling in that the NFL and the officals really could give a team unfair advantage and shift the wind in their direction. Haha, I've never been a huge NFL fan (but go Jags!), it always seemed stupid to me. *shrugs*

Okay, so the Saints LOST to Pittsburgh, which is as it should be in the world of the NFL.
BUT...was it true domination OR a clever ruse to make Mr. & Mrs. John Q. Smith, from Anytown USA, believe that televised sports are anything but an opiate for the masses/ tool for organized gambling? That, Dear Friends, is the musical question... Time alone will tell...

After last week's psuedo-loss to Pittsburgh, will the Saints triumph in their game this week and generate even MORE revenue for the ravaged city of Nawlins? I don't even know who they're playin' and it doesn't matter because I predict the Saints take the game, their division, the Super Bowl!!! How do I know this?!! SSHHHH!!! It's a "conspiracy"! Bwaahhahahahahahahahaa...

Well , shoot. reports from Hades state that the temperatures have dropped to the point where they may be deermed "frozen over". I was pretty sure this was one of the prime indicators that the Saints would win the Super Bowl

You underSTAND!!! You know there is no way in the natural world that the human collection of old hamburger and useless rookies known as the Saints could ever even win a few games, much less clinch their division! But you watch and see if the Saints don't go marchin' in...

Okay, update time. If you've been following my theory that Big Gambling is running televised sports you'll see the skill at which the PTB manipulate the field of play (literally). Last week our heroes rolled Dallas and everyone was singin' "Call Me the Brees". Today the Saints lose to Washington which in itself is an impossibility! Washington can't beat their meat...much less the Saints! This is just a clever feint to up the odds on our underdog-come-from-below-the-gutter-to-the-top-of-the-heap heroes. BUT...Atlanta lost also, so the Saints are STILL top of their Division and Dan Marino has even went out on a limb and picked the Saints in the SuperBowl. Imagine that! This next week will tell the tale as the saga continues...but MY money's on the Saints!!!

Well, this is put up or shut up day here in the Conspiracy Files. Will our heroes the Saints be able to pull it out against a washed up Carolina? The suspense is KILLIN' me, but I'll go out on a limb and say the Saints by at least 10 points...

Okay, so Carolina stomped NO by ten points. (you see why I'm not a betting man) and yet...they're still in contention. Another clever ruse by the PTB to make even heavier odds for the Saints. Gosh, it's almost believable...

The talking heads on the sports programs aren't having much to say about Brees and Co. this week. Can we guess why? Because if our attention is focused on the "favourites", it will be even MORE credible (or is that IN-credible?) when the Saints go marching past Philadelphia in the Dome (could they REALLY lose in THE monument to Katrina misery? ) this weekend...one step closer to the Bowl. The world waits with baited breath...

Well, it's been a long ride, but nothing lasts forever. Today my football conspiracy theory proved to be incorrect by the Bears smearing the Saints (which in any reality but our conpiracy-world would automatically be a given.)

Don't you think letting them win the bowl would be too obvious though? Could this have not been a part of the plan, to make some dough in a series of nearly unbelievable events and then cut out right when people start thinking "something's not right with this picture"?
Could be. ;)

When you watched the players for both teams bobble and drop and fumble like a buncha amateurs you can't help but think it has something to do with the point spread odds. I mean these guys are supposed to be pros. Missin' field goals when that's all you do? Droppin' passes that hit you in the numbers? Runnin' backs droppin' the ball, literally? Puh-leeze...We won't even go into the sub-theory that makin' sure there was the "first african-american coach in the superbowl" took priority...

Well, it's the first two African American coaches in the Superbowl now, not that this offends my sensibilities, I'm suprised it's taken so long. Of course, until recently, there weren't more than 2 or 3 black head coaches in the league, so the odds were against them. Now that there are 7 of them, all of the sudden two of them get in at once. It's indeed odd, but I've got bigger conspiracies to fry.
